Going way outside the box

Description
I don't believe any of this is possible, but I think this would be the only way this team competes this year. I am not sure any team has ever potentially lost 4 of 6 dman all in one year

if you offered this to boston i think they would accept as long as laine contract is in place. I dont think Laine will fit anywhere that has a team first mentality though

Oh I agree, but if he wants to play with talented players. Boston has those players and could probably afford him too.

That Boston trade is terrible for the jets, Krug is good, but is on the back half of his career and the jets aren’t a single player away, and even if they were, you don’t trade laine to fill it. And Faulk doesn’t waive to Winnipeg, and even if he does, he’s older too and goes against everything winnipeg does with, draft develop, team control, before they have to pay or trade.

affordability gets tricky. depends on how much he values winning. take less to be in a winning culture.

Okay so i disagree with everything you are saying. Krug at 28 and points a year increasing is not on the back half of his career. In fact, they say a dman doesn't even mature until 25 or 26 much like goaltenders. I don't know what you are talking about Faulk won't waive. It was reported a long time ago that Winnipeg is in fact on his list of teams he would like to play for. All of this is found on TSN if you want to challenge me. Now please tell me your source.

And for the record, I don't want to trade Laine, but I also don't want him sitting out all year and playing in a different league and potentially getting a career ending injury.
