Drouin is a bum, but EDM would take Reilly for russell and a 4th

I think any team would WANT Drouin. EDM is a good fit. A somewhat crazy idea is that they try to get another Finnish RFA after missing Aho, and package Drouin along with picks/prospects for Rantanen. If the Leafs had room/assets I'd gladly take him.

I don't think he will be coming to Detroit any time soon.

Drouin to Detroit? That's actually an intriguing fit. If you're talking about Rantanen, no chance. But Drouin in detroit might work, pairing him with Larkin and possibly Zadina in the future.

IDK about Drouin but I think he is a Phil Kessel type player... ** where he would be really good on a team w/ 3 Stars in front of him (like the Pens had 87/71/58 already there) and where he wouldnt have the pressure of a Circus Canadian media around him?? IDK, just my opinion

But I would love to get my hands on #24 as the Pens 3rd line Center... I just really think that the Habs Danault need him... lol

Yeah but I'm not sure Yzerman would want him back and I'm pretty sure Drouin feels the same way.

OH RIGHT... Yzerman is in Detroit now. I forgot about that. That might be the case, but I think both are professional enough to move on from that.

Drouin as the centre piece doesn't even sniff at at what it would cost to get Rants....not even close. You are involving guys like Kotkaniemi in any potential trade if Avs wanted to do it.

yeah , we do

Domi and Drouin look sharp with Lehkonen in game 1
take Domi out and he looks lost

the truth is MTL entire top 6 veteran core was outplayed by AHL players and Rookies
Drouin isnt the only one to crap the bed as Petry was the only Veteran with a point tonight

just saying it won't be awesome bc Drouin wont get you Rants....so to get him, it wont be awesome for Habs fans what you would actually have to give up....whispers it starts with Kotkaniemi

Sorry who was outplayed? Gallagher not in the lineup, with drouin in his spot, that line was really bad. Drouin is lost out there.

I dont care about veterans not getting points. Drouin is out of position, turning over pucks, he was responsible for at least one goal against tonight. He did not create a single chance.

Move him for a dman who can play the powerplay and not be a liability.

The theme with the young guys Montreal has coming up is hockey sense. They are also solid defensively (Suzuki and Poehling both killing penalties and can handle defensive responsibilities.) Drouin doesnt have those traits.

Yep, it would be awesome to have Rantanen, but I wouldnt want to see the assets it would take to give him, and then the contract after that as well. No way

i do agree with your point about moving a player for a D but moving Drouin when he looked so comfortable with Domi the other night just seems unwise until we see how that plays out

Tatar though i'd move him while he's got Value again

Hes a what...Top 5 RW coming off his ELC, franchise player. Drouin and some picks and prospects just doesnt move the needle for the Avs are ready to compete. Guys like Kotkaniemi or at a min high end prospects like Caufield are part of any packages.

Cats out of the bag with Drouin, hes just only OK as a top 6 winger, good offensively who is streaky and just brain dead defensively

Not necessarily. Drouin + Cole Caufeld + Ryan Poehling + A first + A 2nd that can become a first based on performance-based conditions could do it. That's a massive return. I know you're a huge avs fan, but be realistic.
