Not enough for Laine. I'd be asking for Necas + Faulk + possibly more if I'm Chevy and Carolina is serious about a Laine for Faulk+ deal.
Rooney liked this.

Faulk is nowhere near that $$ amount for the contract you proposed and Winnipeg would get a much better return in a Laine trade.

Laine trade needs to be a lot better, but I dont mind the start. I think the jets do take a long look at Faulk if Buf retires, but I dont think they'll deal Laine to get him.
I think the Faulk trade would be a 2nd and maybe a young D not named Niku, Poolman or Samberg

Why would Carolina want a D-man back? They have a Plethora of d-man on their roster, reason for trading Faulk and getting a stud forward back in return

This is a great way to absolutely destroy the Jets. Winnipeg has a problem but its not a huge one. They have a few high priced older players and a tonne of high value young guys. Keeping the old guys and moving the young guys for older players will possibly help the team compete in the central right now but it will only hurt them in the future. What they should do is move guys like Wheeler and Little and reboot with Schiefele and the other young guys as the face of the franchise. You could take a small step back this year and maybe next and then be the best team in the West again in 3 years.

All these Jets fans trading Laine (who scores 30+ goals without trying) for guys in their later 20's shows me that there are a lot of fans that don't see where the league is going.
