3 years is a bit much but he def needs at least one year in college, maybe two. Just interesting to see based on his size, obviously has the skill

yup you might see him in 3 years. It's not going to be this year, and probably not next either. Every player says they want to be there. But actually being ready to be there are 2 different things. As long as he's looking like a little kid he won't be there. You can look around the league. Even other small players are in the 180lb range. Cole looks to be about 150lbs soaking get. That isn't going to cut it.

There’s literally quotes you can look up from Bergevin and Timmins both saying in interviews that they fully expect Caufield with MTL next year. Of course there’s never a guarantee, for all we know Caufield could struggle in his first NCAA year, and Habs might leave him there for little more seasoning. So far there’s absolutely no indication of that being the case.

So yeah...Caufield in a Habs uniform next season is probably a 90% certainty if you ask me.

I saw 157 for Gaudreau, I guess theres nothing for sure unless we both weigh them by hand lol but regardless I think a year in the NCAA and maybe 20 games in the AHL the following season could be good for Caufield to then make the jump

With suzuki and poehling having great camp montreal are not in a rush for caufield he might play 2 full season with the badgers! We already have to many skater for the top 9 with poehling and suzuki and armia tatar lehkonen with 2 years left on their Contract its hard to
Brings in a guys like caufield in.

Caufield is pure goal scorer we need that they would make room for him if proves he can play here I think he could have played this year but there zero room this year. Suzuki and Poehiling are going push players out this season.

They will both start the season in laval, and win it all in ahl. Unless there a player place on injury reserve, right now there no open spot so the only choice is sending down the two way contract. Its might take a few weeks to open a spot with a trade. But the real deal will start after the saturday cut’s team will be more nhl calibers. We will see if they are truly ready

yeah sure, right. It's like when you look at the stats sheets and wonder why a guy isn't his listed height. You know, they give then an inch or two.
He's not 160 lbs. He looks like a little kid. His arms and legs are the size of toothpicks.
He is going to need to put on at least 20lbs. This is why he isn't in the NHL this year. He has a lot of work to do to be NHL ready. This isn't junior leagues. It's a rough game out there at the pro level. He will get shoved around and as long as he's the size of someone who can get tossed one handed he will be. Like I said, you might see him in 3 years. It's not this year, and it's most likely not next.
