IMO the CBJ trade favors WPG quite a bit. Savard is underrated right shot D and Wennberg's has the potential, but is in a huge, long, and frustrating slump. Maybe I'm off and homerism (in Wennberg's favor) here but I fell like Roslovic and Wennberg have similar potential and would if all things were equal be a 1-for-1. Savard should probably net more than a lower level prospect, at center of which CBJ already have some in waiting, and a 3rd.

Roslovic to Columbus would be a great story. I do see him as the most likely internal candidate to fill the 2C role for the Jets so the return would hopefully address this. Wennberg was a great story two years ago but has lost the plot lately. Not sure he offers any kind of an upgrade over Rosy. I can't see the Jets making this trade before giving Roslovic a decent shot of top 6 minutes while the RFAs are on the sidelines. If he prospers, I could see him slotting in between either Laine and Ehlers or Connor and Ehlers on the second line. I also see him taking Perreault's spot on PP2. This trade is more likely to happen next summer when Roslovic is up for a new contract.

What Wenneberg brings that Rosy doesn't is Playmaking ability... he would be a the ideal center to play with Laine, because of his ability to create space, and find the open man.

He also played well with Nylander for Sweden at the worlds..,..Give him a new oportunity....Rosy, sadly enough, will never play 2C as Maurice doesnt trust him....heck, he hardly played center last year.

i think Wennbergs value is super low right now and I dont know why the jets would trade for him especially at that dollar value. IMO hes one of the worst contracts in the league right now. Of course he could have a good year and bounce back, but what GM trades for a C who scored a total of 35 goals in 358 career games? 4 last year!! and is on the books for 4 more years at almost 5.
