Oshie Gudas

Created by: Eli
Team: 2019-20 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 20, 2019
Published: Sep. 20, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
for a fourth line wing who takes up 7M of cap space.

I wound up 1.8M over the cap with 23 players. There are a bunch of solutions. I went with Muzzin, because once I upgraded the defense, I didn't think he was necessary. Could also move Hyman for a prospect. In that case, ask for Stephenson to be thrown into the Washington deal to replace Hyman on the PK.

Nylander and Muzzin for Oshie, Gudas, and two 2nds. How about no.

Hyman could net you a 2nd and the cap space needed without downgrading anything. Some would argue it would be an upgrade.

Schmaltz: 10, 1, 2 Since Gudas takes his spot. And I think Washington is fine with that, but unless Babcock suddenly starts playing Nylander in the top six again, his trade value might not stay this high.

Are you on track with current things ? Nylander is in the Line with Matthews already, 1 Game, both have 2 Points. And you are sending 32y old Oshie signed into his 40ies for 24y old kid that is proly on the way to hit his peak yet ? And Muzzin dumped so we can play Gudas ? Comeon.....think again......

Nylander is too talented to trade away for an older winger who is past his prime and a 3rd pairing Dman. Forget about last year. Nylander will have a full training camp and show why he is an elite level winger. The guy has some of the best edges and puck handling skills in the game. One bad season does not define a player. Plus the fact that he is only 23 years old and has not even scratched the surface yet in terms of potential. I really think he is going to tear it up this season.
