The two goals in this past game was a confirmation of how good this kids going to be. He’s heavy on pucks, he does not take no for an answer, he has NHL power on his shots at age 18, and he admits what his weaknesses are and he works at them. Penguins sent a message throughout the whole organization with this signing. Let’s Go Pens and lets go Nathan Legare!!

He definitely outplayed Poulin in his time here.
It's a nice deal to have signed, he earned it.

He'd probably be a late 1st or early 2nd rounder in a re-draft. Not many 18 year olds can score goals at the NHL level...even in the preseason. And it's not like he's 5 foot 7 either. He's already big enough where he shouldn't have fallen through the cracks.

This is The Pens 3rd rd pick Jake Guentzel 2.0 - I have watched 2 prospect games and all the preseason games w/ Lagare and he has done atleast 6-7 things in each game... where i said, wow this kid is going to be good BUT the very best thing he does and is NHL ready in this way- Is he knos when to support a puck carrier & when to exactly fade off and set himself up for a shot. (The main thing that Sprong did here & still has no clue when to do)
