Team: 2019-20 Columbus Blue Jackets
Team Explanation
If Merzlikins ends up as a flop, I'd consider taking another European punt.
Trades
CBJ
  1. Lankinen, Kevin
Additional Details:
Lankinen performed great in the World Championships. He beat the likes of Lundqvist, Vasilevskiy and Murray in the finals. Could he be a future goalie solution.
CHI
  1. MacInnis, Ryan

At the same time, he's probably Chicago's future backup/1B option as of now, so doubt they trade him for a useless prospect

True and CHI only have 4 G in the system. Anyways, imo Delia is their future G

But doubt Lankinen is NHL ready.

Imo he will never reach NHL when there's Lehner, Crawford and Delia ahead of him. So they're in position to move him.

Crawford and Lehner are UFA next summer. The Hawks in 2020/21 (or any team) would just love to have a cost efficient duo in net

Possibly, but I see CHI re-signing Lehner provided that he performs as well as he did last year with NYI.

Elvis looked very good last night. Only 1 GA in 30 minutes, and that was a PP goal by the Pens. He looked quick and not too out of position on the smaller rink size.

I'm thinking that too. Lehner is getting to the age where he might want a long term home.

Elvis looks like a stud.
We won't know till the season begins but this is my dark horse team. There is soooooo much talent here.
Everyone wrote this team off because of their FA loses.
This team looks dangerous.
