in all honesty a guy like Nick Leddy , TJ Brodie or no risk Markov deal .

Markov makes sense on a 1 year 1 million dollar contract
Markov's decline is clear as day but his Chemistry with Subban could be enough to help Markov hit the 30 point mark if NJD are lucky and if not they can easily bury his deal . (Markov's upside is he get his 1000 games in )

Don't know about Markov, but I agree that if Shero does something; it will be latter in the season. The Devils have Greene, Butcher, Mueller and Smith as left-handers already, plus Vatanen who is right-handed but can play on the left. Might as well see if one of those younger guys (Butcher, Mueller, or Smith) can step up and fill that role first.

true and Greene may be older but he lead the entire NHL in Blocked shots last year with 300+

if Greene can become comfortable with a 2 line pass he could be the answer to be honest .
Greene's passing isnt bad but he's a battler not a finesse guy however he has a decent 20 ft pass as is he'd just need to improve on that a bit
