Description

I honestly believe that PIT is going to be a lottery team even with Schultz this year. Not sure if it's Rutherford's mixed up mixology or Sullivan's coaching style but something just doesn't seem to be gelling. PIT get's a chance to build the farm a bit but also has cap and picks to improve if my thought's are awry. WPG gets a now much needed TOP needed RD that can play 1st line minutes unless they pull off a BIG Conner or Laine trade for a #1 RD.

This isn't good for the Jets, Schultz isn't saving their season so no point in giving away good young contolled assets for a rental, even if Schultz resigned it isn't worth it.

Also Myers was never a pylon, he was pretty good for the Jets, a class act that they'll miss.

Every single player is prone to injury. The guy has been in the league 8 seasons and only missed significant time for 2 of them. I hardly call 2 significant injuries being “injury prone” in the sense I assume you mean.

What’s worse is the guy thinks Shultz can play 1st line mins. ?. I mean so can pionk but not well.

Yes Shultz is minimal upgrade. You clearly don’t know who niku is and pionk is playing like a solid top 4 guy in the preseason. Also Shultz can’t play any better defence than niku or pionk really. At least we can call pionk and niku works in progress, Shultz isn’t developing anymore. He is a pp an and that’s really it

Well I won’t disagree that it’s still a bad trade for Winnipeg lol. I mean if there is a reasonable extension in place then maybe, but I still don’t think the pick would be added with that.
Schultz would fetch more for the pens at the deadline.

Cleary I don't know that Niku is a promising prospect who kinda faltered with expanded playing time along with veteran players or that Pionk is flirting with the term "Veteran" but hasn't seemingly put it "all" together yet....If WIN doesn't go very far in the playoffs this year, EVERYBODY is in trouble. Schultz is exactly what WIN needs for the coach and GM to keep their jobs. That doesn't mean it's the right trade but it's a conceivable one.
