Great value. It's true that it would be a couple months late but I would still make the trade and try to move someone like Kulak in another trade. What makes islanders fan want to move Leddy all of a sudden? Bad camp, prospects coming up?

Leddy used to be our #1 defenseman and PP QB, then Adam pelech - pulock became the top pairing last season and Devon Toews can do everything nick leddy does, but better. Also our best prospect Noah Dobson is making the team this year, so it’s just a crowded blue line and it makes sense to move him

I see. I was a huge proponent of a Leddy vs Tatar trade before the Chiarot signing, which I don't really like to be honest. Now this signing makes it difficult to find a partner to Shea Weber. I like Kulak too much to leave him sit in the press box, but I doubt a team would be willing to give fair value for him, as he is too unproven yet. Anyway, this deal makes too much sense to be passed on, for Montreal.

Tatar’s value to mtl is worth a lot more then what leddy would bring to the team
