The team would be a lot better if you didn’t sign TVR and Ceci (6.5) and traded either Hyman or Mikheyev (2.3).
That’d give you almost 9 million to sign either Barrie or Muzzin and a couple league minimum guys.

I wouldn't want to give a players five year contract unless you like him. IMO Ceci is going to do well, and you might want to resign with the Leafs. Barrie...has no loyalty the Leafs, odds are he moves on. Leafs may like Muzzin but Leafs are OK at LHD, so again odds are Muzzin moves on to next summer.

It's a lot easier to sign some league minimum wingers. League minimum dmen are gonna play 16ish minutes a night and will nuke your team

TVR is a mistake, hes not 2nd pair D man.
I doubt Ceci signs for that low, minimum signs for same like Gardiner did.

And I agree with @ConnorMcSchulenberg that moving say Hyman makes alot more sense and reinvest that in a D man.

He was just a random d man I chose. Around there to 3 million could also look at DeMelo.

The hope/plan is that is Liljegren's spot to move up into so I wouldn't want to overpay a guy who will be 3rd pairing soon
