Description
Not realistic. But I'm curious how far off the value is for either side.
Imo Buffalo is way overpaying but they could make the sacrifices at D considering how much depth they have.

I agree. But I think this goes to show that even without Risto and Bogosian, Buffalo has a ton of depth on D

Yes but I think getting rid of Ristolainen significantly reduces the amount of high end skill on the backend and would much prefer to keep him

No one gets that Laine isn’t gonna get traded unless the package coming back is ridiculous and makes wpg says yes. You’re gonna have to pay more than that imo.

I think Dahlin is up for a huge year and taking into account that he's going to get better with more experience, the loss of Risto could be somewhat offsetted.
I'm really high on Miller, I think Buffalo stole him considering he can play top-4 and put up Risto like stats.

I also like Miller a lot but he is not a consistant 40 point defenseman who can play top pair minutes

Honestly yes. They aren't pressed to move him tbh.
It all depends on how they want to fill the holes on their blueline.
I don't think they can contend with the current blueline so whoever is overpaying in D men would make Winnipeg take a serious look

I also have no idea what Chicago was thinking moving Jokiharju.
He was great in his first season, I can only imagine how well he's gonna do in the near future.

I think Sabres should stay away from all these high priced forwards. Look at the team next year with their RFA...seems like cap trouble. I don't know if Laine puts the Sabres in the playoffs in 2020 and 21 when those two first rounders go to Jets. Laine just might be a Sabre for four years and you're giving up Risto and two good futures.
If I'm the Jets, I take Risto for three years and those two likely lottery picks.

They aren't doing too bad on cap space. around 33ish mil next season.
The problem would be after that year when they might need to dump Okposo to extend Dahlin 8 years.
