Definitely the top team in each division and four wild-cards ... to be completely honest, i'm one of the small percentage of people who doesn't mind the current playoff format. I would maybe like to see a change, but either way is fine. I think they should either keep it how it is or do 1-8.

gotta be 1-8. it only helps owners with "rivalry" matchups being forced in the first couple rounds. It should have been: lightning vs bluejackets, bruins vs hurricanes, caps vs penguins, islanders vs leafs and flames vs avs, sharks vs stars, preds vs golden knights, jets vs blues. I think in a true playoff this makes the most sense. I mean 2 years ago you have the 1,2 and 3 seed for the east coming from the atlantic (leafs with 105 could have been 3rd or 4th with caps depending on tiebreakers etc. but in that scenario you are gifting the worse teams an easier path through the playoffs. Idk just think it should be 1-8 then reseed.

There's some rivalries that are broken up in here that would be a BIG mistake.
