Sure but theyd lose a top centre and have to Pay Laine more than Kuznetsov makes. We should do a fantasy league btw and invite people from here

Seems reasonable. Winnipeg want a center. The Caps could possibly try Eller on line 2 like you have him. I have some slight conerns about Stephenson at 2RD, but it fits with the title, and with his stat line, so why not?

Eli, you're being too nice. This is just a mess. Stephenson on D is silly. He can't even play forward, so you're going to switch him to an entirely new position in his mid 20s? It makes our defense much worse. Plus Radko isn't injured, and I'd much rather have him 2RD.

Plus, what the lord is that trade with Detroit? Why on earth would they trade their/COL, almost guaranteed higher second round pick, for a lower second round pick? Stop trollin'.

Yeah without a replacement center, we can't afford to lose Backy or Kuzy for long stretches, it'll really hurt this team bad. Until someone like McMichael is ready to step into a 2/3C role, we need both Backy and Kuzy. I think McMichael is going to be pretty good and if he's our 3C, that's good center depth in a couple of years, but he's obviously not ready yet.

This would depend on what the Caps management think of Kuznetsov's situation. Does he have a 'problem"? Does he not have a "problem"?
If it is the sooner, how many guys really rebound from serious drug problems an still make an impact in the league? Plus, while he is not old, he is not young either. Move him while you can.
If it is the later, then there is no reason to move him.

I would like to point out he is still allowed to use coke. He willing accepted a suspension that he didn’t have to accept. He easily could have appealed it and not been suspended. He failed a non nhl drug test. It helps the caps cap situation and it’s solid PR for him and the NHL

He had a great year with his “problem”. He also scored the 30 points in the playoffs with his “problem”. It’s not a problem. He was just irresponsible with where and when he did it. Like smoking in an airplane.

If he had appealed it, it would have been up held. He would still have been suspended.

Comparing doing cocaine to smoking on an airplane is... no.

... and he was never allowed to use cocaine in the US. To a side, while there is no "no cocaine" verbiage in the CBA or his contract, there are morality clauses (which I don't think are called morality clauses anymore but they are still there). Doing cocaine is very much a suspendable action.

That’s just not true. He didn’t even fail an NHL drug test. It was international one and it was a private video of him shared. The nhl morality clause is a joke and the only reason they suspended him was be he lied to them. Not bc he did coke. If he went to the nhlpa they would have got the suspension lift. He is doing what he thinks is right. He’s willingly taking the suspension. The nhl to be clear doesn’t care if you do coke. If they did 80% of the nhl would fail that test.

You’re right smoking on a plane is illegal and would have much bigger ramifications haha

To be clear coke is fine and it’s openly accepted behind closed doors. Tbh the fact that anyone cares about this is a joke.
