Just wanted to post on a Devils AGM, and please take this with a grain of salt, as I know you will, but the Devils and Taylor Hall are in active discussions with respect to an extension. I spoke with Elliotte Friedman this morning and he has subsequently posted this on his 31 thoughts column, though he did not include any specifics. From what he told me, they are working on a 5-6 year extension and the AAV will be over $10 million, and probably surpass Marner's AAV.

I think Hughes needs either Kyle or Wayne on his line. Kyle would be shooter 1st and protection 2nd, Wayne would be protection 1st and shooter 2nd. I could see Bratt moving to L1 and Kyle to L2. I still think Ty Smith makes the roster. I know he has had a rough go so far, but I still think he will sneak in and take a spot. I also think our goalies are not the liability that everyone thinks they are. Cory looks to be back to old form, or near enough, and Mackenzie looks ready to be a solid backup until he take the next step.
This team could make more noise in the playoffs that most are giving them credit for.
