I read that they were looking at 5 or 6 years for Halls extension. I think either would be fine and it will be over 11mil per.

Gonna go ahead and guess that the devils will give nico possibly any term except 4 years. Not walking him straight to ufa without buying out any ufa years.

Extension talks are positive and ongoing, as was reported by Elliotte Friedman this morning. Deal seems to be centered around 5-6 years, as @shannon has indicated already. Though AAV is clearly up for debate, I would assume that he gets more than Marner's AAV. Had Marner not gotten that new deal though, your $10.5 million AAV would have probably done it.
