When Hyman and Dermy come back

Created by: Rinzler
Team: 2019-20 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 24, 2019
Published: Sep. 24, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I believe this is going to be the lineup when the boys come back from LTIR. Anyone know how the prorated cap hit works when a player comes off LTIR mid season?

Also I think Holl has a much more of a physical presence seeing him in the preseason so far, and may get the chance to be on the roster.

Also recommendations on the 4th line?

Based on performance so far this preseason, I am not even sure Jordan Schmaltz makes this team. He would probably clear waivers though and be sent to the AHL, which is already pretty full on the back-end.

Knowing he only has 5 points in 42 nhl games, I agree with what youre saying (it was brutal watching him give a horrible turnover to MTL last game) . Sandin would be my next choice if it wasnt him, i think hes ready to move up

I am not so concerned about point production (other players can take care of that) than I am with exactly the second point you made about players (specifically turnovers). There are a couple other alternatives. I liked Justin Holl's play in Montreal last night. Giving him 22 minutes, I think it definitely helped his confidence. Harpur has been so-so, but I like his size. Does Harpur and Holl work as a temporary 3rd D pair? I'd obviously prefer Sandin, but I wouldn't want to rush his development, if in fact the Leafs felt he wasn't quite ready.

Man if Holl can deliver the same kind of effort and hits like he did last game, I would definitely like to see him as part of the 3rd D pair. I wouldnt mind Harpur and Holl, I want to see how that plays out. Im kinda tired of seeing Marincin-Holl pair, it just doesnt work. Also agree with the sandin statement, I haven't seen him play that much but just hear some rumours that say hes ready and some that say hes not lol.
