They already did, can’t say adding Faulk helps it though.

Faulk will not play in your top 4.

They aren't going to put Parayko on his offside

It's not better than Carolina's, for the shear vertue of.... you just added their 5th best D man to your top 4.... but it's up there

But after Paying what they just did for Faulk, they have to. Is someone on the move?

I doubt it, this to me is them going all. Faulk will get his minutes most likely on the PP2. I also see this as them doubling down because they know they can't afford Pietro after this year.

If they've decided they can't/won't sign AP you have to trade him. That's such a huge asset you can't just let him walk. You get something back, and you're still good enough to get into the playoffs imo

Full NTC, so unless he wants to go he's not moving.

The difference is that the Blues' best defensemen (Pietrangelo, Parayko) are better than the Canes' best defensemen (Slavin, Hamilton). Pesce is a bit better than Dunn, and Gardiner is a bit better than Faulk, but all in all I wouldn't confidently say Carolina's D > St. Louis' D

Faulk will likely be PP1. He can QB a power play better than pretty much all our defensemen. Also, he'll be in a 3rd line D role this year and will likely thrive with more sheltered minutes.
this does mean Petro is likely gone though and they knew that. They're going for a second cup this year and the thinking is they can try this year without being hurt in the next couple years.

you can argue they don't even have the best Top 4 in their division, its good but so are many other teams, they are not clear cut better than other Top 4s

Parayko > Hamilton, Peitro and Slavin is a wash, Gardiner > Faulk and Pesce beats Dunn all ends down
