Opening night with Mikko

Created by: franky_22
Team: 2019-20 Colorado Avalanche
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 25, 2019
Published: Sep. 25, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
So we hear that Mikko wants Marner money ($10,9M) on a long term deal and that Sakic's offer is around $8,5M The difference is $2,4M. If they each take their half of the bite, the deal would be signed at $ 9,7M AAV. In any case if Mikko absolutely wants the bridge, the market is pretty settled (Point, Tkachuk) at $7M AAV for a 3-year deal.

LMAO why in the world would Ottawa give up a very promising young winger for scraps that would just take roster spots from young players?

It's an armchair here, I take a chance! cool You're right about Balcers: I like this kid alot but sadly for him I feel like the Sens brass are still going to waste a lot of his time in the AHL this year. I don't think Matt Calvert is total scrap. Good veteran utility guy, pain in the ass type of player and good penalty killer. Except that Dorion signed Tyler Ennis... there we talk about scrap IMO

Balcers isn't going back to Belleville. Of all our young guys fight for a spot, he's definitely the one who has stood out the most. He's had a great camp and pre season, and if you look at who he's been skating with in pre season, he's either going to be on the 3rd line with Anisimov and Ryan, or the 4th line with Tierney and Boedker. I think he'll start on line 4, but he'll eventually beat out Ennis for the 3LW spot.

That said, I've thought Ennis has been one of our best players so far. He does a good job jumping on loose pucks and winning battles along the board. He was solid for Toronto last year, and I think he would have been even better he'd stayed healthy. If he played 82 games, he definitely wouldn't have signed for 900k imo.
