I think he gets a little less, but depends on term. 1-3 years - 3.5 is about right. 4+ and it's 4.5-5.5.
Black and gold colored glasses, but I think he takes a hometown discount, especially if they basically chose him over Krug
Krug :
1 year 1.4
1 year 3.4
4 year 5.25

I believe the point to this thread was to get an idea what BOS has to work with next summer with all rfa's locked up. It's not like that cap won't be used

Umm, no. He better have a hell of a season if he is going to command 5+. As it stands now 3.2 is on the high side.

Most likely scenario. Krug signs a 5 or 6 year extension in the 7 to 7.5 range. Grizz is traded and Urho takes his spot. No need for two undersized LD in the rotation. With the expansion draft looming they’d protect Mac/Krug/Carlo. Grizz would not only be expendable with a Krug extension he’d fall into move him or lose him territory. They are not forgoing 7-3-1 to keep 8-1.

If Krug walks, Grizz is signed, likely for something closer to above than 5+, Urho in for Krug.

Now if he becomes a 35-40 pt dman that stops taking bad penalties because he is out of position or outmuscled that will change things.

Hmmm didn’t have you pegged for the “rarara points are all that matters type.”

I’m not. But it would increase his value and bargaining power which was the point. If he stays on the same path he is not in any position to command 5+. Carlo would have had a time getting 5+ long term and Grizz is no Carlo.

Grizz was the best player in 5v5 for point chances generated when he was on the ice all playoffs. Im not a big krug fan. I would rather not overpay a tiny dman to qb the pp and let grz take his spot and urho take charas.
