I honestly would pick laine to keep. There’s so much more untapped potential there. I think Connor is going to be a career 60-70 point player.

Tbh I don’t hate Laine. I actually really enjoy watching him most of the time. Also If you go back to the 17-18 season. All jets fans were praising Laine calling him the next Ovi and honestly a lot of people not only jets fans were doing that. Fast forward to now, he had ONE bad season at the age of 21 and people are torching the guy. He scores f*cking 30 goals in his sleep. IMO, if the jets traded Laine right now, it would be the dumbest decision they could ever make.

but for your question, if I had to pick, it honestly depends. If we had a better coach lol I’d take Laine, I think Maurice is really misusing Laine and he’s just not a great coach. But if Maurice is still here I’d probably go back and forth between the two.

Nobody hates Laine because he wasn't scoring for 3 months of his career. He needs to get a bit quicker and be stronger in board battles... typical 20 year old player stuff.

We'll keep them both. The way the Jets operate is deadline driven so before the regular season starts they'll make their final offer to both players. Our owner doesn't allow higher offers once the season starts so they players will sit until they accept what was already offered. They can just ask Jacob Trouba if they need proof.

I think we get Laine at 2 by $6.5 and Conner at 7 by $7.5. Then Buff can come back or not. Either way we're cap compliant.

As an aside, I'd actually flip Perreault and Connor on your lines as Perreault Little Ehlers was excellent 2 seasons ago as the defacto top line when Scheifele got hurt and Connor / Roslovic have always had excellent chemistry together from their time on the Moose. Also, I think Berdin gets the call instead of Comrie if Broissoit gets hurt, but that's just my opinion.
