I'm not so sure MTL would be targeting Hampus. He's a really good Dman, but MTL needs a PP puck moving Dman. Hampus is NOT a scoring Dman. He's a stay at home solid defender that can chip in offensively for sure (again very good dman), but not running an offense dman.

Fowler is easily moved before Lindholm at this point. But I think gaining a RHD for LHD just makes us that much weaker on the left. It makes more sense to move forwards.
Also moving Kase for a pick doesnt make much sense considering how young he is. The whole point of rebuilding is moving big contracts and older players. Getz, Silf, Henrique would be the more likely targets I think.

We have josh manhura
And larsson that are nhl ready on the left and since we will be competitive in 2 season they will enter their prime at 24.

Getz have a nmc and the other 2 ntc that make
Them really hard to trade and get values back. As for defenseman you have too think that seattle is coming up and you will loose one defenseman. Kase is turning 24 this year and isnt a premium players a first pick for him is fair enough considering he is injury’s prone

Lindholm is only 25 now and has a few years left of Prime. Fowler could be leaving his. We just saw Blues overpay for Faulk, who is very comparable. I think MTL would take Fowler at the same value. I would be apprehensive to give Mahura or Larsson top 6 minutes. Guhle maybe, as he has looked really solid in preseason. Its also worth mention Folwer is playing the right side anyways so even more reason to move him. We also have Jackson LaCombe in the system now who is projected to be a middle pairing LD.

Shore and Lindholm are 25 and Kase is 23. They are PART of the rebuild. And at least Kase and Lindholm should be a core part of the team for the next 5 years. And unless one of Guhle, Larsson or Mahura suddenly develops into a top-4 defender in the next 2 seasons, I wouldn't mind losing one of them if it means holding on to Fowler, Lindholm and Manson.

Shore isn’t a piece of The puzzle with max jones, comtois, steel, zegras, luderstrom, troy terry that are the futur and rakell henrique and silverberg all the piece around are expendable. Plus with Seattle draft coming up they will have to protect players
And shore and kase are not likely to be on that list with steel, jones, luderstrom, terry, henrique , silverberg and rakell to protect. I am
Two step ahead, seattle draft is something that no one think here but its a major concern for gm

I think this puts us back a little because that first will be late and probably will never be a top 6 or top 4 player. Drouin? like really he's not worth it. Id rather let Lindholm walk come contract year then trade him this early. I like the shore move tho.

Considering that drouin would have been our
Top forward last season he would be a
Major addition. Anaheim have a lot of
Centerman but the wing position is something that we lack a lot. I would trade on of lindholm or Fowler. I pick lindholm since fowler have offense to his game and manhura and larson can play a more defensive game that lindholm play

Yes, I specifically left Shore out of the first sentence of my original comment because he isn't a piece of the core going forward. And before you strain your shoulder patting yourself on the back for allegedly being "two steps ahead" of the rest of the world in considering the expansion draft, allow me to point out that your response to my comment is in direct conflict with the announced purpose of your Lindholm trade, which is theoretically because "with Seattle draft coming up they will either lose one of their young dmen or an established dman"; as you point out, they are much more likely to lose a forward.

Basing anything off of last year is a bad idea. Everyone were at record lows. If you look at 17-18 Season, Rakell was 34/35/69 while Drouin was 13/33/46. Kase was 20/18/38 in just 66 games. Drouin is just simply not the best forward.
