Take Brook out and Montreal might listen.
Okay, if Washington takes out the picks.

Drouin is 24...
And in danger of losing his spots in the Habs' top six and top power play, and turning back into Burakovsky, who had more even strength goals than Drouin, career, heading into last season, played a year on third line, failed to adapt to a checking role, and got stolen for a 2nd and a 3rd. yeah. He's young. We get it. He's also one dimensional and about to become dead cap if Kotkaniemi, Caufield, Suzuki, and Evans push him to the fourth line.

Six years.
Hey, you're right. I was thinking five, for some reason. And yeah, the cap hit is high. The average remaining cost per season is 600k lower on Oshie than Drouin, and in the first couple years you get just as good a hockey player, but in twice as many ends of the rink.
Drouin's career highs are 27 blocks and 55 hits. Last year Oshie had 55 blocks and 133 hits.
Oshie and Johansen for Drouin? Ouch. Gets Montreal to the playoffs a couple years sooner. Keeps Washington in the playoffs after Ovechkin retires. Win-win. Could have just kept Burakovsky and Johansen, and paid a 2nd to trade Oshie somewhere, I think, but what do I know?
