          I don't know enough about Pens players to definitively determine the value of that package.

          What I can say is that Jarry and Ruhwedel add absolutely no value to that trade for MTL and make it look more like quantity than quality to the casual observer.

          How is it that terrible? Rust was on pace to be a 40 point player last year without missing 10 games and has been on that type of pace in each of the last three seasons at a little over 0.5 ppg, Drouin has been a little over 0.6 ppg during his time in Montreal, over a full season that's only an extra 8-10 points a year so throw in a first rounder and that seems like a pretty fair deal to me, as for Reilly, he is a good enough defensemen, but was nothing special so Pittsburgh giving up Hallander one of their top 3 forward prospects plus Jarry who does have a little value is an over payment in my opinion which is why there is some retention, I only added ruwhedel so that Montreal was getting a serviceable defenseman in return, but he can be taken out if he doesn't add anything.
