I personally would not trade him, what he did was not bad enough to force a trade but here is an option for a trade (would definitely suspend him to send a message maybe 1-3 games)

I read the description but it's such a minor problem, suspending him would just show the Leafs care more about PR than winning. If he raped or assaulted her I'd understand

Buddy if he raped or assaulted her he would be gone from the leafs in general let alone just a suspension, yes it’s not a big problem but hey if he is found guilty of this he can face up to 6 months in jail that’s enough for the leafs to say hey let’s move on so a suspension is not a pr move it’s a move that shows the team doesn’t tolerate this kinda bull crap

I agree on the suspension idea. I think it looks really bad for TOR considering he was most likely gonna be the next captain. TOR should give him like a 1-3 game suspension. But they won’t because they’re a bunch of p*ssies.

If he's found guilty it will be nothing, it's a misdemeanor, it's a fine at worst. PR move at it's finest

Jones for johansen straight up was the trade between Columbus and Nashville a few years back so Matthews for Jones would work without a doubt.
A. Matthews is a potential perennial 40 goal, 80 point guy in the NHL
B. Matthews is 22 years of age and signed for 5 years
C. Columbus is deep in defence but lacking offence after panarin and duchene and dzingle left so they would be fine for it
D. Dubois is not really a centre he’s a left winger so they have wennberg as there only decent centre and he needs a new home desperately
E. The value on the other trades are quite fair Hutchinson and a third for Hutton who’s 33 coming off a below average year is fair and Ceci a 25 yr old right shot d and a second round pick for a 30-40 point guy potentially in bertuzzi is probably more than what Detroit would ask for

Idk dubas was with Rielly when he used a racial slur, with nylander even after all he did with the contract situation but he wasn’t there when Matthews was talking to the media and when he talked later he was peeved off so he might hand one down

I highly doubt they’d trade him over what happened. I’m not trying to minimize the error he made, I’m just being realistic when saying it doesn’t warrant a trade. I doubt the suspension will happen as well.

Actually no, in Arizona where the disorderly conduct happened it is considered a class 1 misdemeanour( the most serious) so, if found guilty by Arizona state law he can be sentenced up to 6 months in jail, a $2500 fine and up to three years of supervised probation

Its amazing how thickheaded some hillbillies can be.....and hes even stating its minor problem...entering a car uninvited at 2AM...seems like he wouldnt mind his mom would be in that car as long as she would fetch an autograph for her sunnyboy.....

From my understanding, disorderly conduct covers a wide range of crimes. It could be getting in a huge street brawl, being drunk in public, or even refusing to leave a storefront. Obviously jail time and the maximum fine would be the more egregious crimes, like the street brawls. What happened with Auston would probably fall on the lower end of the spectrum for seriousness compared to other crimes that are considered disorderly conduct. With that said, he will probably get a fine.

Did u forget to read the part that states it’s 2 a.m and he’s trying to get into a security personnel’s car that’s locked while the security guard is in the front seat

I didn’t say it wasn’t serious. I just said it isn’t as serious as inciting a street brawl.

Wings are not trading a top line forward for Ceci. He is a UFA at seasons end and Bertuzzi is Aria who will cost controlled for years. Also the Wings have 2 2nds why get a high 2nd for a player who is years away.
