No. Because he does have value and we only want to move him to give a young guy a shot and gain a forward. He isnt bad an is an ideal partner for Karlsson.

Did you post this under the assumption that Drouin is anywhere near as good as Meier? Drouin would be the 5th, maybe 6th best forward on the Sharks so I'm not sure how much exactly you want for him.

I'm not saying Drouin is on the same tier as Meier. I'm just pointing out the fact that the trade doesn't make any sense. Drouin might not be as good as Meier, but he's not worse than Dillion. Besides, the Sharks aren't dealing with Eugene Melnyk.

EDIT: Yes there have been a bunch of rumours surrounding Drouin but his situation is not as worse as Mike Hoffman's.

It's a top 4 D man, a 2nd that can become a 1st (which if he plays on Meier and Couture's wing that condition could likely happen) and a 3rd for a guy that's making 5 mil and has cracked 50 points twice. He's a pretty good player but not worth the package you seem to be suggesting. Anything over a 1st and a decent player/prospect would be an overpay for a guy like Drouin,
