That's not even a fair comparison. Thomas has a higher ceiling (not that he will get there) and is 4 years younger & Rielly is a stud, but Peitrangelo is probably the Dman in the league right now. Top 3 anyway.

It's hardly the same since Pietrangelo has just one year till free agency.

But Pietrangelo, captain of the Cup winners, based in St Louis with wife and three children ain't waiving his NTC. IMO any Pietrangealo trade are just unrealistic. He will sort his "last contract" options next June.

Toronto can’t do the trade if they switched Bracco for Kapanen as they don’t have the cap room. If they did, they would be all over that trade.

I know Toronto fans are all excited about the buzz around Pietrangelo lately, but we are still Cup contenders at the moment and therefore are not trading him.
