First glance I like that he’s 22 but I’d rather hear your guys thoughts than go google about him.

Just no room for him here, 3rd best prospect at that position behind makar and timmins, I'm assuming they traded him to give him a shot a making a nhl roster in the years to come

That sounds very good to me haha. His name is very familiar, but being behind timmins and Makar is like being behind Crosby and Mcdavid lol it’s hard to be better than them (kinda a bad analogy lol).

Like on the sharks our best D prospects are Merkley and Ferraro for easiest choices and better known.

Where he rank?

1.
2.
3.

Merkley
Ferraro
Meloche

Meloche to me feels a lot like Jeremy Roy (we drafted him in the same year 8 spots before). They're both supremely talented and had great projections, but have suffered a lot of setbacks. They're both 22, so their window as NHL-caliber prospects is closing, but if they can regain what they had initially, they can both be good NHL players.

Good input thanks!
I really liked Roy and hope he puts it all together. If he’s like Roy than it’s worth the trade as Bibeau had lost out on our roster basically. He can still maybe back up this year for y’all. Seems like a bet for the sharks and a safe move for avs so works out by the looks of it. Hopefully 1/2 Roy or meloche work out than lol both as a best case

Meloche is a good skater, limited offence ability at the NHL level if he ever does make it but he's very mean and physical while still being good defensively. He projects as a safe 3rd pairing Dman if he can make the jump.

With Byram in the weeds and Timmins now being healthy looking like the stud he was before. Starts to really make it diffident to get a look, won't play that many rookies at one time. Meloche lost his spot to Graves last year who the team seems to trust and like a lot now, plus Rosen coming over in the Kadri trade has really impressed this camp. He just got beat by bubble guys and taken a seat to the young kids who they will prioritize over

I dunno, I bet you will find Helleson over Meloche In a lot of prospect rankings. I would say hes probably 4th down on the Avs Right hand side prospect depth chart
