Saad isn't a rental and Chicago doesn't do that

Saad has 2 years, imo paid a bit too much and don't need him

If the Blackhawks are way out of a spot in February, then maybe they trade Saad, maybe even to Boston.

However, Zboril is having a hard time shaking the bust label (Chicago has enough of those guys), we can't really afford to take Backes and the picks aren't all that impressive.

Saad plays a really nice all-around game, is under contract for another year and probably won't cost $6 million to extend in 2021. If Chicago retains some salary (maybe $2 million), he's worth a first, no doubt in my mind

Take out Backes Hawks decline, with him they don’t even take your call.

I wouldn’t mind the Bruins going for Saad, but you aren’t going to get rid of Backes in the same deal. Also, the Hawks would need to retain at least a little bit of salary in order to make the trade happen they might be willing to, as he only has 2 more years left on his deal
