Oshie is a top6 RW

Drouin is LW, not C or RW and is good 1/3 games

don't do that trade

Oh I don’t disagree I’m just bored and heard he was available for a top 4 dman.

He could easily play rw with Backstrom. The guy is a legend

Orlov is also way underrated, and this is a super-generous offer. But what do you guys think if Drouin's on a third line with Eller and Panik? Are the two of them good enough on defense to cover back for him? Is he good enough with the puck to get them each to 20 goals? No need to mess with Vrana-Backstrom-Oshie. It's a good enough line that it doesn't keep this team from winning it all. But if their 2nd and 3rd line are both good in all situations, and the 4th line, as above, is solid in its own zone... maybe they end up with enough extra skill to make up for losing Orlov's puck movement?

Edit: I'm not just being a Caps fan. Over the last three seasons Orlov ranks 24th among defensemen (either side) in total even strength points. http://www.nhl.com/stats/player?aggregate=1&report=skaterpoints&reportType=season&seasonFrom=20162017&seasonTo=20182019&gameType=2&position=D&filter=gamesPlayed,gte,1&sort=evPoints,points He's tied with Werenski for 11th among left shot defensemen, one behind Suter and Krug (t-9th). The top 31 are reasonably top-pair LHDs by ESP. Orlov and Werenski are 23 points behind Werenski for 1st, but they're 24 ahead of Lindell, who's 31st.

Drouin is 38th among listed left wings, but a few listed centers play left wing, too, so he's probably a little lower.. http://www.nhl.com/stats/player?aggregate=1&report=skaterpoints&reportType=season&seasonFrom=20162017&seasonTo=20182019&gameType=2&position=L&filter=gamesPlayed,gte,1&sort=evPoints,points

So Orlov is, offensively, a #1 defenseman, and Drouin is, offensively, a 2L. Drouin does some damage at LW on the Habs' power play, and that could make up for it, if the Caps are comfortable with Djoos, Kempny, and Siegenthaler as their LHD rotation.

4th line had 3 20+ point players..... on a 4th line. That’s pretty solid imo.

From what I remember drouin is fast and has decent skill. I believe he’s pretty solid in the playoffs also
