With Timmins and Makar, right now we have a lot of up and coming young RHD so maybe not Juulsen. Would take Drouin, two firsts and a prospect though, if Rantanen refuses to sign. I'd be down for Colorado to sign him to that.

i dont think i can give up that much knowing what re-uniting Mckinnon-Drouin on PP means .
now COL has MTL top PP player with a history of success with Mckinnon who will hit 70+ points easily

Drouin's issue here is we aint got a single ****ing PP Center , not one
Danault is Top Notch at PK and 5v5 but PP is his Kryptonite .
Domi's inconsistent on PP but produces good enough for a 2nd PP unit winger(Domi had 475 faceoffs drawn by his wingers he played most of the year )


KK isnt ready but became our best option come year end as he took top Center on PP1

we need an RNH or Zibinjab type player good for 20-30 PP Points a year at Center as a 25-26 year old who can grow with our 22-27 year old current core with three 20 year old or younger youth prospects looking to crack the roster and make a difference . if we could trade a Tatar , A- or B+ Prospect and a couple picks for them we'd be set

Yes I agree but Montreal doesn’t have the centre and kk won’t be that skilled guy for at least another two years sooo drouin won’t be reaching his full potential with mtl anytime soon whereas I believe rantanen would come in and be great right away a big skilled fwd is what mtl has needed for years .. you don’t get rantanen unless drouin is involved

this is god awful, If you build a deal around Kotkaniemi you might have a chance...Drouin, this fan base is such in denial with this kid...every one wants to trade him, the team is trying to trade him but he's soo good he can be traded for any top end forward in the league?

Avs do not want Drouin, there is a reason he was traded one, and he is going to be traded again, he's not a complete hockey player who lacks effort and consistency issues while being terrible defensively. Avs do not want him bc he played with Mack 7-8 years ago, who cares. Drouin would be in the dog house within 10 games under Bednar.

Figure out what exactly that drouin has been a consistent 50 point guy playing not his best hockey ???? Considering the avs are a more skilled offensive team than mtl drouin would fit in great with them way less pressure on him with not having to be the one trying to create all the offence ... as I stated above this is only if rantanen is unwilling to sign with the avs so if you think this is a bad trade under those circumstances you have no idea what you’re talking about... You are acting like he is a 70 point player, he is not. Carl Soderberg had 50 points last season, and Drouin getting 50 is impressive why? Lots of guys in the league can put up 50 points

If you think Mikko is not signing bc he can't get 9.5m....avs are signing that deal yesterday. So even your reason of why Avs would move Rants and giving him that contract is 100% wrong. He wants Marners contract, not 9.5m
