This is one of the rougher TB games I’ve seen in a while. And I like it.

We gotta win this for em though

I would like it a lot more if it weren't a totally meaningless preseason game. We lost, but even if we had won, it's just not worth the injuries. I guess the bottom players sort of have to play like that, since they easily could be sent down otherwise, but players with roster spots should not be doing that kind of thing right now.

Verhaeghe won't be scratched for what I've seen. Kid's been by far the best players on the ice in the last couple of outings. It definitely is a difficult position for the Lightning Front Office, as both Vokov and Verhaeghe deserve the spot. Verhaeghe has to go through waivers in order to go back to the AHL, so he is most likely to stay up. And, as BriseBois said in an interview "you don't wanna have your prospects watch the game from the press box"

Martel was also scratched for the last 3 games, I think we'll put him on waivers and roll with Verhaeghe, Volkov + Witko until Point comes back. Then we'll re-assigne Volkov to Cuse (after he gets his first NHL taste to get him motivated), keeping Witko as 13th forward.

I know, I dont wanna see Verhaeghe being scratched either. Kid is really good.

Did u see him yesterday? His stick-handling was really something...
