NO! Zero interest in a 32yr old LHD who is a UFA in 2 seasons. I figure Frenchie=Martinez (or close to) That leaves us giving up Stanley, a Roslo and a 1st for Vilardi???? No thank you! Terrible for the Jets.

So, you would sooner hang on to the 31 year old winger who has two years left on his deal??? I would argue Martinez in the back end is better resource management. A lot of cash tied up in the fowards - and that has depleted the blueline.

As for Vilardi.... yes. Hell no. Injury issues already, and the price tag is outrageous.

Perrault and a good bone for Martinez maybe. Frankly I just don't see it works for the Kings unless it's a 3 way deal where Perrault goes eslewhere with the Kings eating caphit......

I think you just over complicated it, take out Stanley and Vilardi and you get Roslovic and a 1st in exchange for Martinez and Dumping a $4.1M bad contract, which seems close to me but Winnipeg overrated the hell out of Roslovic so their fans will hate this

I would absolutely rather keep Frenchie than trade him for yet another LHD. Our D, while depleted a bit, is stronger than it appears and we have a lot of LHD coming up. If Perrault is being moved I would rather target a RHD reclamation project like Honka.
That price tag for Vilardi was horrendous and a huge overpay.

But Martinez played is weak side when laying with Muzzin and did it very well.

See your point, but Martinez is more versitile than you give him credit for.

Wouldn't trade a used jock strap for Valardi right now. Über talented, über injured.
