Non of this is interesting. It's all the same garbage people have been doing all off-season.

that's a hideous jack Johnson trade, in what world is a 3rd goalie in the AHL in Jarry worth taking him on.
Jarry for a 6th is probably a fair trade and you think JJ is being thrown in?

    Dream on

Ducks might take that out of sheer desperation, but not in a million years would anyone take that Johnson deal. Going to cost way more than that

I would like to go beyond this year's team as shown to point out why this subject occupies so much of @dgfresh78 's attention: this structure would allow the signing of Murray at $6.75, Galchenyuk at $6, McCann at $3.75, Pettersson at $3.5, Simon at $1.25 and Riikola at $1.5 (assuming Schultz walks and the cap ceiling goes up $2).

Hope so. But pens fans are idiots. Once Johnson is gone then they will move on to someone else.

Can't Colorado just claim Jarry off waivers if they want him? Eventually Pittsburgh will have to risk him to waivers if he's not their backup.

I’m thinking Colorado will trade a 5th or a 6th for Jarry or Comrie. I don’t really see them as a match for Johnson due to their cap situation beyond this year.

I think you and I both know that as soon as Johnson is gone they’ll go straight to Tanev.

Yes but it’s been stated that Colorado has been exploring a trade to improve goaltending depth

Probably...but I feel like the Penguins have figured out what they need to do to keep him serviceable by playing him with a puck moving defenseman.

They will not, and if you are basis your idea off daters tweet last night, that’s a kiss of death. He’s no trade insider.

Avs just made a trade for a 3rd goalie on an nhl deal, daters not smart enough to figure that out

So it is daters tweet, it’s false. He was on panic mode last night defending his Credibility being dead wrong on mikko, he threw stuff out there so people would stop mocking him for back peddling

He didn’t even know about the other avs trade and then posted this “I think the Avs thought about adding a Jarry or Comrie, but for now they tentatively plan to stick with Bibeau as "third" goalie”

Key words “I think”. He’s not insider

Look how patient they were with trading Duchene. They're not going to rush to take an unproven goalie at the expense of taking on JJ. They've already had the chance to grab a more proven goalie and passed, they won't do that trade.

Definitely. Gudbranson has been a good fit. And I think tanev is the exact type of player they needed to compliment this team. He's a little bit of Chris kunitz and a little bit of Carl hagelin in one player. But pens fans are idiots. Even when gudbranson played well after the deadline last year's fans were still saying it was a terrible move.

Totally agree about how everyone caused a scene over it. The cap hit isn’t ideal for a bottom pair defenseman but he’s done enough to warrant staying here. You’re also spot on about Tanev because he is most likely going to thrive on a line with Crosby or Malkin. I personally think he’s a combo of Kunitz and Dupuis.

Good comparison as well. I just can't wait for this Johnson nonsense to be over with.
