I think the sens should pair Chabot with hainsey seeing how well rielly played with him as the stay at home dman on his right and given how similar rielly and Chabot are in terms of offensive upside

Flames decline IMo.
Gonna have to give a major asset to have someone take Boobie Ryan.

Zaitsev has been solid playing with Chabot so far, so I'd be hesitant to split them up yet. The upside to playing Brannstrom with Hainsey, is that Hainsey can teach Brannstrom how to play the right side as a lefty. Sens clearly see Brannstrom's future as being Chabot's partner.

Ryan is better than frolik. Ryan is a 2nd/ 3rd liner, ideally a 3rd liner who can bring some offensive punch to the bottom six. Frolik is more of a 3rd/4th liner.

You forgot about the term on Ryan's deal though.

ok I see the merit in that. but if I were the sens I'd want brannstrom and Chabot to each run there own pair like how the sharks have burns and karlssson on different pairs. makes your team harder to play against imo

Not at all. He's 21, and he's only a 2nd year pro. Him not being on the team isn't a reflection on his not being good enough, because he looked solid throughout pre season. The sens have 4 centers on NHL contracts. There is no room for him right now, but that will change as players get moved, and he'll be the 1st guy called up. In the mean time, it makes way more sense for him to play 1C minutes on a stacked Belleville team than for him to be playing on the wing or on the 4th line in Ottawa.

He's going to be a regular NHL player by the end of this year, and he's probably going to be in the top 6. The only thing standing in his way is that he's a little injury prone. If he stays healthy he's going to silence his critics this season. He's good.

2 more years after this at 3.6 isn't a big problem imo. For what he brings that is more than fair value.

Sens fans seem to think all these kids are gold. I see 3 or 4 solid NHLers out of all of them. It's gonna be a long rebuild.

Maybe Dorion should take Gorton out for a beer and pick his brain lol. Maybe a Leafs fan, but that man has done a marvelous job imo.

Assuming he comes back 100% healthy, the sens already have a guy who is capable of driving a 2nd pair in Christian Wolanin. One of the best kept secrets in the league. He's so good. Also opens up a spot long term for Max Lajoie who shows promise.

ngl if the sens can get it together offensively they could be good in a few years but outside of tkachuk its not too promising up front. they need a few more high draft picks for centers (lafreniere?) and wingers but the d is looking nice for the future

Frolik played RW2 and in an ideal world, he would be 3rd liner on a meh team. There isn't much gap, Ryan is offensive, Frolik more defensive
