Next season the Leafs’ blueline could look like:

Rielly-Dermott
Sandin-Liljegren

Solid young group.

He didn't have a good camp. He likely stays up as a scratch and practices with the team until AHL starts

Did he have a bad camp? Or did he not score any points but played solid defence? I didn't see him play but when I have its always been just solid. Makes the safe play more often than not and is just a next level skater.

He wasn't terrible but if they were thinking of giving him a chance, you would have seen him play bigger minutes and against better lineups like they did with Sandin. I think Lily is up after Xmas, just needs a bit more time in the AHL.

I am not so sure, I think they aren't sold on Marincin. Sandin is on the team I think and now they have to decide on who gets the bottom pair RHD and it still up in the air. I thought Holl looked calm and capable on Saturday but Detroit looks like an AHL team compared to TO so that isn't saying much. The highest upside is by far Liljegren and what he'd be asked to do is play capable and safe minutes at 5v5 and maybe some PK minutes. If he's as good as the other options right now, perhaps getting him comfortable with the NHL in sheltered minutes would be good for his development. Get him ready for next season where he needs to be a top 4 guy.
