If I had any faith that Benning had a clue how the salary cap works, I'd say he must have accounted for those but its clear he has no idea what anything means in the cap era.

gotta love the leafs fans chiming in here. not 1st round pick last year, no first round pick this year, no cap either 4 over paid players, hoping and praying that Tyson Barrie can get them past the first round this year cause nobody else on the roster seems to be able to. lol speaking of a GM who doesn't know how the cap era works, lol boston wins every year and nobody gets paid more than 7 mil (krejci just over that)

Gee, at least the Leafs make the playoffs with the exact same cap as the Canucks. That pick....20th, but Tampa gets the 10th. Yea the Leafs overpaid for their three big RFAs....let's say a total of 4m...yea I wish it didn't happen. Canucks are overpaying 4m in just one player Ericsson, never mind paying almost 9m for the bottom two centres. Enjoy six years of Myers.
Yep Dubas, and I blame total Leaf management for giving "hometown premiums" to their own RFAs. But please, the Canucks are horrid and selecting the right UFAs to sign and then overpaying them.
Want to compare the Leafs and Canucks for the next few years....it's not even close.
