Thank you for building this. This is insane. https://nhl.nbcsports.com/2019/09/30/ho-sang-desmith-sprong-headline-waiver-wire/

I'm most surprised by Luke Schenn and Gustav Forsling, since they just joined the teams waiving them. I wouldn't be surprised if Anton Forsberg got picked up, with all the goaltending questions out there. But your top six fowards above, together, have been involved in about a thousand trade ideas on here. it is really amazing that the teams losing them couldn't find a way to make trades.

Forsberg is good but he might slip under the radar with 2 other prime choices available. There are only 62 spots for goaltenders so not surprising to see so many quality tenders getting waived.

There are two teams without a guy who played backup last year (Fla and Col) and there's one without a guy who played starter (CBJ). Three pretty good goalies hitting waivers means six claims have to be made: Florida picks the one it wants. Colorado picks the two it would settle for. Columbus has to request all three and hope one gets through without Edmonton or LA pulling something funny.

Think CBJ will give Elvis a try. He look great on the international stage. Wouldn't see a situation where EDM would claim. Koskinen would still count for $3M if waived. Florida is the big winner from today should they get either of those 3 goaltenders.

If Edmonton wants to cut Koskinen's games played below forty or fifty this year, it might be cheaper for them to carry three goalies than two.
