If Marino makes the team this year, then you can afford to trade Calen Addison. I don't think LA is interested in taking Johnson back, but Anaheim's trade offer still stands.

I totally agree...I just think it might not materialize until a few weeks into the season. Something obviously happened with why he wasn’t traded yet and DeSmith was placed on waivers instead.

Johnson has nothing to do with the team having three goalies. One of them would have to be put on waivers.

I've been harassing @dgfresh78 with an offer of Jacob Larsson and Anaheim's 2020 third for Jack Johnson, Calen Addison and Pittsburgh's 2020 first. We're both intent on setting up the Penguins roster for next summer, when Pittsburgh has RFA's Murray, Kahun, McCann, Simon, Pettersson, Riikola and Jarry plus either Galchenyuk or Schultz to re-up, plus Larsson in my trade scenario. Basically, it looks to me as if you have to move all of Gudbranson, Johnson and Rust to have a chance to re-sign Galchenyuk plus most of the RFA's. (I assume that there's no realistic chance of getting Hornqvist to waive his NTC.)

Oh, I thought there was a rumour I hadn't heard. Fair enough. Also although that trade is probabaly fair I really don't want to give up that much to drop an anchor
