Anderson plays the same game as Tom Wilson. Washington probably isn't interested.

No it wouldn’t. How do you know if samsonov is going to be better than anyone the jackets have? No way to know that, so not worth it at all

Seems pretty close, but I think Washington might prefer to hold onto their future starter, yeah.

Also, I happen to think he could use more AHL seasoning, just to get more used to everyone shouting in English on the narrow rink. His save percentage in Russia hit .938. In the AHL it was below .900 last year. He's adjusting. I seem to keep offending Jackets fans when I suggest Elvis should try that. I don't mean to.

Zero interest whatsoever. We've got Merzlikins and Vehvilainen and Tarasov already. Trading Anderson for another goaltender is gross.

goalies never hold this kind of value. Like never. Especially backups.

I would not do it. I’d wait and draft Askorav or Walldstedt

It will be an interesting off season for the Capitals. BÄCKSTRÖM and HOLTBY will become free agents. OVECHKIN will be playing the final year of his contract. Whoever is signed will put pressure on the cap.

Washington may want to sign HOLTBY but his salary demands and term might force the Capitals to past and go with SAMSONOV and a veteran backup.

If Washington is tempted and moves SAMSONOV, then I think it would cost Columbus more than ANDERSON. It isn’t without precedent. The capitals moved VARLAMOV, age 24, to Colorado for a 1st and 2nd pick back in 2012. Both SAMSONOV & VARLAMOV were 1st round picks.

It is too early to tell if SAMSONOV will the Caps future net minder. He is playing well.
