team Canada would start with crosby, marchand,Bergeron line . and that would give them the gold right there.

Where’s stone? If Bergeron and Marchand not with Crosby, Stone could be a viable replacement

I assume you're referring to McDavid, who's on the North America Team (U23's).

Stone could easily replace Stamkos, Huberdeau or Scheifele and O'Reilly

Parayko had a great year and has a lot of potential, but I expect a bounce back year from PK in new scenery.

One of those teams, you can’t go wrong with, but seguin out of the top 6 doesn’t make that much sense to me, and top 6 should be elite offensive and bottom 6 should be all around players that could buyin as checkers and also move into top if needed, I would look again at that second line and put stone with Marchand and Bergeron as your checking line or momentum line, sorta trio that could play a variety of roles for you

Mark Stone had his most productive season last year...

Stone: 33g, 40a, 73p
Stamkos: 45g, 53a, 98p
Huberdeau: 30g, 62a, 92p
Scheifele: 38g, 46a, 84p
O'Reilly: 28g, 49a, 77p (and that's not even his strong suit)
Toews: 35g, 46a, 81p

Variety of ways to build a team, but in a tourney like this your going to need a line or two, that can kill a penalty or shutdown another teams top line. Intangibles get stone on team over some of the pure scorers, that you got stacked up.

Sure, it's about how the coaching staff decides to build the roster.
But "Stone could easily replace W, X, Y, and Z"?

I know you didn't make that comment, and I understand your analysis.

My thought is, if you don’t slot seguin in top 6, he doesn’t make the team, giroux and Huberdeau and seguin and stamkos would probably battle for 2 spots on second line, and losing Center ends up with scheifele and oreilly as a 4th line that might not see that much ice , unless injuries or moved into different spots in lineup to kick start offense. I think your stamkos, Tavares, giroux needs a little more youth and speed. But nice build Canada will always have critics In anything they do.

No it’s going to be worse because he won’t have players to help him up in NjD like he did in Nsh.

Missed that this was specifically for a tournament that was the same format as the last one. I also didn’t realize he’s so young he’s still eligible for that team.
