Sure, but trading him for those 2 just makes the team weaker and then they forsure don't make the playoffs

Actually this gives the Canadians a LHD who was among the top 60 goal producers last year.
Vesey had only one less goal than Drouin last year while getting half of the pp time, and spending over a min/gm on the PK.
While it may be a poor return it is not that bad, Drouin is hardly an irreplaceable star. Considering how Drouin disappeared over the last 20 games, I would have thought most Habs fan would be happy to get players who fill current hole at LHD and a hole created after he is traded with about the same cap hit.
