You majorly undervalue your players. This team gets much worse

This team will never win with Stamkos.

Even if that's true, why not trade him for fair value? Is Horvat really the best you can do?

Horvat is a 2 way player signed to a good contract so yeah haha.

You know who else is a good player on a good contract? Stamkos. His value is higher than Horvat. Not saying you could get McDavid by any means but the return could be better

Why do you say that?

It is not his fault, to be completely honest I don't think they will win a cup for a long time. In my opinion its their system of play. They won't be able to compete against a defensively sound team especially in the cup final.

For example if you were to match them up against the 2012 or 2014 LA Kings I don't think they'd beat the Kings back then even with their offensive talent and superstar players. The Kings were just too defensively sound and had tons of heart and grit. They also would use fear to their advantage because they knew they were a very hard team to play against.

The Lightning also have no grit beyond Maroon. They lack Stanley Cup experience. I think Maroon is the only one on the team that has ever been there before.
