Isles probably would do that, or a low end pick. Surprised Ottawa just didn’t claim him on waivers.

Ya obviously they would rather a pick but Ho-Sang wont get you a pick if he went unclaimed on waivers. This trade allows a contract for contract trade and Sens get a Boom Bust guy and Isles get a great AHL player or 13th forward which is better than what Ho-Sang will do for the Isles at this point.

So both Honka and Ho-Sang leave better teams, For Ottawa. Yeah nice chance of scenery. Not.

Better for these two players for sure. Young guys trying to break into the league have an easier time doing it for worse teams. They also have asked for trades from their team so ya I think in this case it is a better change of scenery than not playing for teams that won't play them. Try a new angle than saying Ottawa is bad there Borat.

I think both players are either looking for a better opportunity to crack the NHL or a bigger role. Ottawa (or Detroit for that matter) would be a great change of scenery for both players. Have you seen their lineups? damnnnnn... it's screaming opportunity
