Sullivan NEEDS TO STOP WITH SCHULTZ - JOHNSON

Created by: AlphaHockey65
Team: 2019-20 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 4, 2019
Published: Oct. 4, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
it's as if they learnt absolutely nothing from last season.
Johnson is a mess. Gudbranson is a mess.
This is getting embarassing to watch.

3 RD who can move the puck.
Green is 33 but still actually knows how to make passes from his zone.

Brodin.. Please get brodin.
A huuuuuge improvement to the left side and allows pettersson to slot in with Schultz.

I think my favourite part of the whole JJ and EG saga is that it is masking the fact that Schultz isn't very good either.

I think what's happening with Johnson is PIT was unable to move him without paying a huge price so they are trying to show off he isn't that bad, but it's not backfiring.

I didn't watch last nights game, but Guddy was VERY good (compared to what i was expecting) last year, and my theory (well not mine, i just forget where i originally saw it) is they're only playing JJ in the top 4 (and hopefully giving him all OZS) to boost his trade value if at all possible, by padding his stats and so you can say that 3.25 isn't bad for a top 4 d man vs 3.25 for a HS

Gudbranson was pretty bad last night.
Petterson - Schultz is one of our best lines and can take some load off of Dumo - Letang.
Johnson - Gudbranson play 13-14 min a game because of how bad they are.

He played with Johnson a large portion of the season last year where his corsi was at under 45%. Away from Johnson he was great.
Petterson - Schultz is a very good combo

JJ-Guddy would be terrible, MP-Guddy, last year at least, was very good, in this scenario, I's play Brodin with Schultz

Teams aren't stupid tbh.
even Torts in Columbus knew this guy is wayyyy too slow for today's NHL. I don't understand how our coach doesn't see this.
Johnson in the press box is addition by subtraction

Getting Brodin completely eliminates the need for Gudbranson.
You can pair him with a guy like Green who's literal job is to play the puck from our zone for 13-14 min a game.
You also get a backup for PP2 if schultz goes down.
Petterson needs minutes, he is a legit top-4 D imo.

These numbers are adjusted to account for partners and such. This is just him on his own.

The window is closing fast. That 1st and prospect won't even be playing during the last of the prime years for Crosby/Geno

I have a theory too. JJ belongs in WB where he can do no harm.

trade is absolute rubbish. They can buy him out for 1 million a year. The F out of here if you think they are going to give all that up.
