He won't get scratched everyone interviewed said they didn't know the rule, even Petry who scored didn't know the rule. With that being said, he has not been good with the Tavares line and I am firm in my belief he doesn't have enough sand paper to do what is needed to help Tavares and Marner Excell. I would move Moore up and Kapanen to 3rw where I think he can just he the shooter and fly around. Kerfoot and Mikheyev can do the other stuff on that line.

whether he knew that rule or not he probably knew that that is a penalty of some sort, which would have (best case scenario) put MTL on a 5 on 3 in the last few minutes of a 1 goal game. I think a scratch may be a bit harsh but it sends a message to the whole team early in the season

Lol. That was a really stupid mistake. Also almost took a stupid penalty in the first that the refs missed, slashing Domi in the hands after the whistle had gone.

They were playing so horribly that they would have scored another anyways, penalty shot or not. They were tired out there and hutch should have made a few more saves. They hung him out to dry but it was clear that they were dead by around the 2nd period
