problem is with coach Quinn, if Lias plays three shifts on the second line and nothing really happens, he's probably juggling it. need to give the kids an extended chance if you want to see production. Kakko was in bottom 5 in total ice time against Ottawa

Kakko needs a bigger shot too, I wanted to give him buchs spot on the PP1 because buch always looks hesitant

The problem is not with coach Quinn. The problem is Anderson is not ready "yet" for the expanded role you want him to play. I have few complaints about Quinn, I assure you he knows much more about hockey than you do. As for Kakko, last night was only his second NHL game. Rangers are 2-0, quit complaining!

Are you even watching the Rangers games? Rangers power play is awesome! Quinn shouldn't change a thing.

Lmfao at your comment Buch "always" looks hesitant... Word of advice, stay away from using absolutes in conversation like (always, never, you're either with me or against me, etc). Buch had 2 points last night (on pace for an 82 point season) and is a plus 4 for the season. Rangers are 2-0! What are you complaining about?

Strome had a very good season for the Rangers last year. Give the guy more than 2 games before you take the attitude "Anyone but Strome".

LMFAO! Thought you saw the game? Why don't you take the time to watch the video for yourself and simply count how many players Ottawa has on the ice.

Anderson not ready? Not sure about that- he has at least earned a shot at it....Chytl is the guy they wanted there- but defensively he has shown himself to be not ready....Anderson, on the other hand is known to be defensively sound- it’s his offense everyone is concerned with...but having earned a shot at it, and with Kreider/Kakko...maybe he hits another gear offensively...one thing for sure: seen enough of Strome to realize he is not the 2C to bring the Rangers into contention...maybe ok at 3rd or 4thline wing- but too low a ceiling for 2c

Your not quoting me saying Anderson is not ready... Not sure what you're talking about. But based on last season and only two games played into this season, Quinn rightly feels Strome is the better choice for the number two centre. That could change though in a relatively short time. I'm just saying the poster should stop complaining about Strome two games into the season when NYR is 2-0. Anderson deserves the next shot at number two center, but Strome deserved the next shot at the position after Chytl had the first shot.

AJ, for sure 2 games is not enough of a sampling to judge Strome at 2C...but you have to admit that the 2nd line does look a bit underwhelming to start the season...for whatever reason, Kreider has looked a bit pedestrian and Kakko- who shows flashes of brilliance- can seemingly be better than he is playing...so the natural response is to point towards Strome for dragging that line down.

Two points on Strome: 1) Most Ranger fans look at his production last year as unsustainable- since his numbers were reliant on an artificially high shooting %.
2) Unfortunately for Strome he seems to get lumped in with a few others (Staal, Howden to name 2) who have the "unconditional love" of the management and an excessively long leash with DQ...whether it's management trying to justify some incredibly bad cpntracts they have doled out or trying to justify some trades they have made....much of the Ranger fanbase is tired of management's decades old decision process- which (1994 aside) always leaves this team short of what it takes to consistently be in Cup contention- and actually win.

That all said...2-0 is a nice start...no reason to "jump off a ledge" yet on any of the team's decisions...but do realize: without the good to very good goal play we've had AND Zibs playing like an absolute BEAST...this team could be 0-2 right now.

Not ready to admit it yet after two games, but I will admit maybe I didn't appreciate as much as I should the passion one has for their team to be the very best it could possibly be even though we're 2-0.
