Tough pill for San Jose to swallow, but if they want to compete this season they'll probably have to do something like this. But Leave out Merkley and the value is more fair

Ottawa doesn't even consider this trade. I like DeAngelo well enough, but there's no way they'd trade Colin White. He was the first of these young guys to be locked up long term, they obviously see him playing a key role into the future.

Look I wasn’t the one who made up the trade but I’d prob keep merkley and take out the 3rd

Rangers are not looking to give Georgiev away and if Kreider is not resigned, Rangers will receive at least a 1st round pick and a very good prospect for Kreider.

well you're getting a player whos better than Kreider and a top prospect plus a 2nd so if the Rangers declined this, Gorton should be fired

None of them is better than Kreider and NYR is not looking to trade for a player better than Kreider. Rangers will replace Kreider from within as they have the voted best prospect pool in hockey. Also San Jose is in a free fall decline and desperate to make a trade... Which means they will have to give up more than they receive because all the GM's around the league smell blood. Not to mention the fact Georgiev is a young goalie just starting to develop into one of the better goalies in the league. Gorton would be fired if he just game him away for nothing.

well you clearly dont know anything about the Sharks. Labanc is already better than Kreider and like 5 years younger. Merkley is a top defensive prospect (if he can get his act together). that is plenty (and stupid for the sharks) to give up for Kreider and Georgiev, not to mention the picks

What are you talking about? Labanc is under 6' tall and no where near 200 lbs. Kreider is a beast who's one of the fastest skaters in the league. Would love to see what happens to Labanc if he tries to stick up for one of his teammates... Labanc is more of a passer while Kreider is one of the best power forwards in the league. Labanc is certainly not better than Kreider! As for Merley, talk to me when/if he ever gets his act together. And the Rangers don't need a washed up 0ver 30 year old goalie, instead of one of the best up and coming goalies in the league. This trade would be incredibly stupid for NYR to make and shows you know nothing about the Rangers for thinking otherwise!

Kreider has yet to hit over 55 points and is a UFA to be who is going to get overpaid in free agency. Lebanc hit 58 points in his 3rd real season playing on the 3rd line and skating just above 14 minutes a game. In no world is Kreider better. Lebanc is a much better possession player whereas Kreider is very average.
I live in NY and watch plenty of Ranger games, Im not even a Sharks fan and can tell you this is a ridiculous trade from them
