Lack of depth on the right behind Boeser, emergence of Pearson/Ferland on the left. Hornqvist's history of production and track record. The list goes on

you forgot to mention his age of 32 and his clear regression but thats fine. Anyways as a Flames fan im begging Vancouver to do this. Especially after trading their first for Miller. This is so hilariously bad for a team building a young core

Issue is they aren't just building a young core, VAN is clearly trying to win now. To that end, at worst for VAN it's a horizontal move

Benning's the type who instead of taking a second back would rather attach a second to Miller to get Hornqvist

So, Vancouver is going to give up a player that they just traded a first rounder to acquire to get Hornqvist and his awful contract and a second in 2021?
